The name comes from the way the silhouette catches light: soft gradients move across the smooth surface as the sun shifts through the day, the way shadows lengthen and shorten around a solstice.
That simplicity is deliberate — 3D printing to order lets us hold a precise, consistent curve across the whole form, something that’s much harder to get right with hand-thrown or molded vases at this scale.
Solstice Vase is built to be looked at as much as used: it holds a small bundle of dry flowers with quiet confidence, but stands just as well completely empty as a standalone sculptural object.
