Quasar Planter was designed around one plant in particular: the orchid. Rather than a solid-walled pot, its structure is opened up to let air circulate around the roots the way it would in the wild.
The airflow openings double as a design feature, creating a rhythmic, perforated pattern around the pot that adds texture and visual interest even before a single leaf appears above the rim.
Each Quasar Planter is 3D printed and made to order, a process well suited to producing the fine, repeating openings that give the pot its airflow — geometry that would be difficult to achieve with a mould.
It’s sized specifically for orchids and similar aerial-root plants, and its wrap-around plate makes it just as suitable for a windowsill as it is for a desk or dining table centerpiece.
