Prismal Desk Lamp is built around a genuinely modular idea: a plain minimalist base, an inner shade that diffuses the bulb into soft white light, and an outer shade whose vertical patterning does all the visual work.
That outer layer is where Prismal gets interesting — fine vertical ribs slice the light as it passes through, casting subtle linear shadows on the desk and walls around it rather than just flooding the room evenly. It’s mood lighting with actual texture to it.
Each piece — base, inner shade and outer shade — is 3D printed to order as three separate modular components, which is what makes the layered, two-shade lighting effect possible in the first place.
It’s designed for desktop workspaces specifically, so it sits comfortably next to a keyboard or monitor and adds soft ambient light without competing with a bright overhead source.
